Evaporation is the process in which a liquid changes into a gas. It happens when the particles in a liquid gain enough energy to escape into the air.
How Does It Happen?
When a liquid is heated, its particles move faster. Some particles at the surface gain enough energy to leave the liquid and become a gas. This process is called evaporation.
