DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENCE
During the Renaissance, people began to rely more on reason, observation, and experimentation rather than on blind faith and tradition. This led to a revival of scientific inquiry which had almost disappeared during the Middle Ages.
Science and Art:Artists like Leonardo da Vinci made detailed anatomical and nature drawings, combining science and art beautifully.
Medicine and Anatomy:
Michael Servetus, a Spanish doctor, discovered the circulation of blood.
William Harvey, an English scientist, explained how the heart purifies blood and circulates it through veins.
Astronomy:
Nicolas Copernicus (in his book On the Revolution of the Heavenly Sphere) proposed that the Earth and other planets revolve around the Sun (Heliocentric theory).
Johannes Kepler developed this theory further, showing that planets move in elliptical orbits due to magnetic attraction between the Sun and planets.
Galileo Galilei used a self-made telescope to discover the moons of Jupiter, rings of Saturn, and sunspots, confirming Copernicus’s theory.
