Cells:

  • Cells are the basic structural and functional units of life.

  • They carry out essential processes like energy production, protein synthesis, and waste removal.

  • Examples: muscle cells, nerve cells, blood cells.


Tissues

  • Tissues are groups of similar cells working together to perform a specific function.

  • Four main types in animals:

    • Epithelial tissue: covers surfaces, lines organs.

    • Connective tissue: supports and binds (bone, blood, cartilage).

    • Muscle tissue: enables movement.

    • Nervous tissue: transmits signals.


Organs

  • Organs are structures made of different tissues working together for a specific function.

  • Examples:

    • Heart: pumps blood.

    • Lungs: exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide.

    • Brain: controls body activities.

    • Stomach: digests food.
