Definition:
Gas exchange is the process by which oxygen enters the body and carbon dioxide leaves the body.

Oxygen moves from the air in the lungs into the blood.
Carbon dioxide moves from the blood into the lungs.
Happens by diffusion (movement from high concentration to low concentration).
