Muscle

The muscular system in the body used posture and circulate the blood if we want to take something or brain commends the muscles through the nerves to move.

The heart is not controllable it it's just keep beating.

That means some muscles work without thinking.

All of the muscles in our body make up the muscles

system.

There is about 650 muscles in our body.\

types of muscles

The types of muscles are smooth muscles, skeletal muscle and cardiac muscle.

Smooth muscles

  • Smooth muscles control the organs inside the body and are also called special muscles.

  • They work involuntarily, which means they work without us thinking about them.

  • Smooth muscles help blood vessels relax and tighten to control blood flow.

  • They also move food through the digestive system and help organs.

skeletal muscles

  • Skeletal muscles are attached to the bones and are found under the skin.

  • They help us move, maintain balance, and keep good posture.

  • Skeletal muscles are made of long muscle fibers.

  • They are connected to bones by strong connective tissues called tendons.

  • Skeletal muscles are voluntary muscles, which means we can control them.

  • They move when the brain sends signals through the nerves.

Cardiac muscle

  • Cardiac muscles are found only in the heart.

  • Their muscle fibers form a net-like structure, which helps the heart contract strongly.

  • Cardiac muscles make the heart beat continuously, pumping blood to the lungs and the rest of the body.

  • They are involuntary muscles, which means they work automatically without our control.

More about muscles

  • Muscles help our body move.

  • They are responsible for movements such as blinking, smiling, walking, running, jogging, writing, and breathing.

  • Almost every movement we make happens because our muscles work together with our bones and nerves.

Fun Fact

  • Muscles work by contracting and relaxing.

  • When a muscle contracts, it becomes shorter and pulls on a bone or body part.

  • When it relaxes, it returns to its original length. This allows us to do activities like walking, running, jogging, and writing.

  • The muscles used for breathing, including the diaphragm, also contract and relax to help us breathe in and out.
