REST

So thing that is in rest stays in rest but if you push it, it moves (e.g, when you keep a dice on the ground it stays in rest but if you push it then it moves if friction is there it would stop after a moment)

MOTION

if a toy car is in motion stays in motion but if you stop it, it stops (e.g, when you drive a car you are in rest but the car is in motion but when the car breaks suddenly you will lurch forward)

EXPERIMENT

put a card on a glass and put a dice/coin and flick it the force pushes the card but the dice/coin din`t move and it falls in the glass

WHY

because you are giving force only to the card not the dice/coin and why does the dice/coin fall in the glass because of gravity
