ECOSYSTEMS-

Deserts are a very harsh place to live in as there is very less rainfall, so animals and plants adapt to their surroundings.

An example of desert plants are Saguaro cacti and the an example of desert animals are Gila woodpeckers, they make holes in the cacti to make their nest.

Cactus wrens often used a different kind of cactus called Teddy bear cholla.

They are very spiky that very few other animals come close to them so that their eggs are protected.

Lizards and tortoise and other animals rst in shade of plants or burrow into the soil because it is cooler.

At night when it is cold, kangaroos come out to feed, wary of their predators such as rattlesnakes and coyotes.

PAPER CHROMATOGRAPHY

Black ink looks like it's just one color but actually it's made up of multiple different colors. You can separate the colors by using paper chromatography.

The colored ink seperate because the water dissolves them.

Watch this video to understand better.

As the water moves up the paper, it carries the ink particles with it.

The different kinds of ink particles are carried different distances before they are left behind on the paper,

This is because not all ink particles have the same solubility.
