Imagine you have a whole pizza, but you don’t want to eat it all by yourself. So, you cut the pizza into equal slices. Each slice is one part of the pizza — that's a fraction.
Percentage means “out of 100.”Example: 50% means 50 out of 100.
We use the % sign to show percentage.
It helps us compare things easily.Example: If you got 80% marks, that means you got 80 marks out of 100.
Half of something is 50%.Example: Half a pizza = 50% of the pizza 🍕
A full thing is 100%.Example: One whole chocolate bar = 100% chocolate 🍫
0% means nothing.
Percentage means "out of 100".
It tells how much part of 100 something is.
The symbol of percent is %.
50% means 50 out of 100.
100% means the whole thing.
0% means nothing.
Percentages are a way to show how much of something you have out of a total, using 100 parts as the whole. For example, in the video, if a pizza is cut into 4 slices and you eat 1 slice, you have eaten 25% of the pizza because 1 out of 4 slices is the same as 25 out of 100 parts. If you eat 2 slices, that means you ate 50% (or half) of the pizza. Eating 3 slices is 75%, and eating all 4 slices is 100%, or the whole pizza.
Percentages work with anything, not just pizza. If you eat the whole apple, that's 100% of the apple. If you finish your dinner, that's 100% of your dinner. So, a percentage tells how much of something you have out of the whole, using the idea of “parts out of 100”.
A percentage is a part of something, compared to 100.
The sign for percentage is "%".
"Percent" means "per hundred" or "out of 100".
50% means 50 out of 100; 100% means the whole thing.
To find a percentage, divide the part by the whole and multiply by 100.
Percentages can be written as fractions (e.g., 25% = 25/100).
Perimeter is the fence around the outside of a shape. You find it by adding up the lengths of all its sides.
Area is the carpet that covers the space inside a shape. You find it by multiplying the length by the width.
Perimeter is the edge, Area is the middle
Area is the space covered by a shape, measured in square units like cm2cm2 or m2m2. Perimeter is the total length around a shape, measured in units like cm or m. For example, the area of a rectangle is length × breadth, and its perimeter is 2 × (length + breadth). The area of a square is side × side, and its perimeter is 4 × side. For a triangle, area is 1/2×base×height1/2×base×height, and perimeter is the sum of all sides.
Area = length × breadth
Perimeter = 2 × (length + breadth)
Area = side × side = side²
Perimeter = 4 × side
