Light
Light
Light is a form of energy.
It travels in straight lines.
It helps us to see objects.
The Sun, bulbs, and fire are sources of light.
Opaque objects (with light)
They do not let light pass through.
Because of this, you cannot see through them.
Example: wood, wall, stone.
Transparent objects (with light)
They allow light to pass through fully.
You can see clearly through them.
Example: glass, clear water, clean air.
Translucent objects (with light)
They allow some light to pass through, but not all.
You can see only blurred images through them.
Example: butter paper, frosted glass.
Reflection of light
When light bounces back from a surface.
Example: A mirror reflects light and shows your face.
Refraction of light
When light bends while moving from one medium to another (like air to water).
Example: A pencil in a glass of water looks bent or broken.
