Electrolysis
Electrolysis means breaking things using electricity.
We use two metal rods and a liquid called an electrolyte.
Electricity passes through the liquid.
The liquid then splits into different parts.
One part goes to the positive side, the other to the negative side.
Example: Water breaks into hydrogen and oxygen gases.
It helps us separate elements using electricity.
