Definition:

Asexual reproduction is a type of reproduction in which only one parent is involved. No male or female cells are needed, and the new living thing looks exactly like the parent.



Main Points:

  • Involves one parent

  • Fast process

  • Offspring are identical to the parent

  • Common in plants and simple animals.



Types of Asexual Reproduction
