Magnets
Definition:
A magnet is an object that can pull certain metals towards It . It has a special invisible force called magnetic force.
Main Points
A magnet has two poles: North pole (N) and South pole (S).
Opposite poles attract (N + S).
Same poles repel (N + N or S + S).
Magnets attract only some materials, not everything.
The area around a magnet where it works is called the magnetic field.
Interesting points:
Even if you can’t see it, the magnetic field is always there.
The Earth itself is a giant magnet!
Your compass works because its needle is a tiny magnet.
Fridge magnets stick because the door has steel inside.
Fun Fact:
A frog can actually float in a very strong magnetic field—because even living things have tiny magnetic particles!
