Conservation

Simple meaning:

Conservation is taking care of nature and resources so they are available for the future.

Examples:

  • Conserving forests – not cutting too many trees, planting new ones

  • Conserving water – turning off taps, not wasting water

  • Conserving electricity – switching off lights and fans when not needed

  • Conserving animals – protecting wildlife and their homes

Why is conservation important?

  • Saves natural resources

  • Protects plants and animals

  • Keeps Earth healthy for us and future generations

  • Switch off lights and fans when you leave a room

  • Use LED bulbs

  • Turn off the TV when no one is watching

  • Unplug chargers when not in use

  • Use sunlight during the day instead of lights

  • Keep doors and windows open for fresh air

  • Use fans instead of AC when possible

Fun Fact:

Even when a charger is plugged in without a phone, it still uses electricity!
