But our body can survive without them.
There are 3 types of carbohydrates, monosaccharides, disaccharides, and polysaccharides.
Monosaccharides - 1 sugar unit.
Disaccharides - 2 sugar units.
Polysaccharides - 3 or more sugar units.
When food is cooked, the starch breaks down and becomes easier to digest.
