Saturn
Saturn is the 6th planet from the Sun.
It's the 2nd largest planet in our solar system.
Made mostly of hydrogen and helium (gas giant).
Has the most beautiful rings of any planet.
The rings are made of ice, dust, and rock.
Titan has a thick atmosphere and lakes of methane.
It has over 60 moons (Titan is the biggest).
Saturn spins fast—1 day = ~10.7 Earth hours.
It orbits the Sun every 29.5 Earth years.
It’s so light, it could float on water.
Winds on Saturn can blow at 1800 km/h.
No solid surface—just thick layers of gas.
Has a strong magnetic field.
Sometimes shows a hexagon-shaped storm at its north pole.
Visited by Cassini spacecraft (2004–2017).

1 Saturn’s rings are made of ice chunks, dust, and rock, ranging from tiny grains to house-sized blocks. They might be only 100–400 million years old, way younger than Saturn itself (which is over 4 billion years old). Some think the rings came from a shattered moon or comet.

Saturn’s magnetic field comes from metallic hydrogen deep inside, spinning fast and generating strong currents .It's different from Earth’s because:
Saturn’s is almost perfectly aligned with its rotation axis (Earth’s is tilted)
It’s also weaker than Jupiter’s, but still powerful enough to trap charged particles like crazy

Saturn spins super fast—a day is just about 10.7 Earth hours .This causes it to bulge at the equator and flatten at the poles .So instead of a perfect sphere, Saturn looks more like a squished beach ball (an oblate spheroid).

That iconic hexagon is a weird, stable jet stream. It’s formed by high-speed winds and swirling storms trapped in a pattern. Scientists think fluid dynamics and wave motion create the six-sided shape—kind of like spinning water in a bowl with waves forming neat edges.
