2. On-the-Job Training
Learning by working with experienced workers.
Advantages

Training at the workplace
Some work is done while training
Disadvantages
Trainer may be less productive
Bad habits may be learned
No recognised qualifications
3. Off-the-Job Training
Training done away from the workplace (college, training centre).
Advantages
Many skills can be learned
Expert trainers teach
Workers become multi-skilled
Disadvantages
Expensive
Wages paid but no work done
Workers may leave for another job
