. Epidermis:

  • Makes new skin cells to replace old ones.

2. Dermis:

  • The middle layer of the skin.

  • Contains blood vessels, nerves, hair roots, and sweat glands.

  • Helps us feel touch, pain, and temperature.

  • Keeps the skin strong and flexible.

3. Hypodermis (Subcutaneous layer):

  • The deepest layer of the skin.

  • Made of fat and connective tissue.

  • Stores energy and keeps the body warm.

  • Cushions and protects organs and muscles
