FORMATION OF THE EARTH-
🌍 Formation of Earth (About 4.5 billion years ago)
1. Giant cloud in space (Nebula)
Everything began with a huge cloud of gas and dust called a nebula.
Gravity pulled this cloud together, forming the young Sun at the center.
2. Dust turns into rocks
Around the Sun, tiny particles started sticking together.
These formed bigger and bigger rocks called planetesimals.
3. Building a planet
Planetesimals collided and merged over millions of years.
This process (called accretion) slowly built early Earth.
4. Earth becomes hot and molten
Constant collisions and radioactive heat made Earth extremely hot.
It melted into a giant ball of magma.
5. Layers form
Heavy materials (like iron) sank to the center → forming the core.
Lighter materials formed the mantle and crust.
6. Atmosphere and oceans appear
Volcanoes released gases → forming the early atmosphere.
As Earth cooled, water vapor condensed → forming oceans.
🌱 Final Result
Over millions of years, Earth cooled, stabilized, and became suitable for life.
