Unit-2 chapter-7 Pg:- 72,73
A parallel circuit is an electrical circuit that provides multiple paths for current to flow. Each branch of the circuit operates independently, so a failure in one branch will not affect the others.
The voltage across each component in a parallel circuit is the same.
The total current in a parallel circuit is the sum of the currents in each individual branch.
Each branch in a parallel circuit can have a different resistance.
Household wiring: Most homes have parallel circuits so that a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker will only affect a portion of the house.
Christmas lights: Christmas lights are typically wired in parallel so that a burned-out bulb will not cause the entire string to go out.
Power grids: Power grids use parallel circuits to distribute electricity to different areas.
