1. Paper is made from wood, usually from trees like pine or spruce.

3. The wood chips are boiled with chemicals to make a soft pulp.

4. The pulp is cleaned to remove dirt and unwanted materials.

5. The clean pulp is mixed with water to make a thin slurry.

6. The slurry is spread on a moving screen to form a thin layer.

7. Water drains out, and the pulp starts to look like paper.

8. The wet paper passes through rollers to squeeze out water.

9. Then it is dried using hot rollers or heated air.

10. Finally, the paper is rolled into large sheets and cut into sizes.
