Tap root 2. Fibrous root TAP ROOT : Tap root is the main root that grows down vertically. 1. it penetrates deep into the soil. 2. it stores water,food ,and nutrients. 3. examples: carrot,mango tree, oak tree, beetroot , pine tree ,radish turnip. Fibrous root it has no central roots small roots branched out from the stem it does not grow deep underground. examples: rice plant,coconut tree, wheat ,banana tree,grass,bamboo,sugar cane,onion
