Enzymes are special proteins that speed up chemical reactions in our body. They work like tiny machines, helping break down food, build new cells, and carry out many other important processes. Each enzyme has a specific job and fits with only certain molecules, like a key fits into a lock. Without enzymes, reactions in our body would happen too slowly to keep us alive. They are found in our saliva, stomach, and every cell, making sure everything works smoothly and quickly.
MY NOTES:
Enzymes are proteins that speed up specific chemical reactions in the body to keep it functioning properly.

What types of proteins are in enzymes?
What type of chemical reaction happens in our body? Is enzymes useful for anything else in the body other than in chemicals?
What are molecules? What is the difference between atom and molecule?
