Carbohydrates are important nutrients that give our body energy to do all activities like running, playing, thinking, and even breathing! They are found in foods like rice, bread, chapati, potatoes, fruits, and sugar. When we eat carbohydrates, our body breaks them down into a kind of sugar called glucose. This glucose travels in our blood and gives fuel to our brain and muscles. Without carbohydrates, we would feel very tired and weak. That’s why they are called the body’s main energy source.
My Notes :Carbohydrates give energy to the body. They are found in rice, bread, fruits, and sugar. They turn into glucose inside our body.
