The temperature, pressure and the volume of gas can affect each other
Laws Of Temperature
Boyle’s Law (Pressure ↔ Volume)
Charles’ Law (Volume ↔ Temperature)
Gay-Lussac’s Law (Pressure ↔ Temperature)
The pressure of a gas is caused by atoms or molecules
hitting the walls
More heat → more energy → faster movement
Less heat → slower motion → lower temperature
Boyle Law
When you squeeze a gas (increase pressure), it takes up less space (volume) but the temperature stays the same
Pressure x Volume = Constant
Breathing – Chest expands, lungs get more space, pressure drops, air comes in.
initial pressure x initial volume = final pressure x final volume
Inversely Proportional
two quantities are inversely proportional when increasing one quantity decreases
