The endoplasmic reticulum, or ER, is a cell part that makes and moves things like proteins and fats. It comes in two types:

• Rough ER: This type has bumps called ribosomes on it. It makes and sorts proteins.

• Smooth ER: This type has no bumps. It makes fats and helps clean up the cell.

The ER is connected to the nucleus, the control center of the cell. The outer part of the nucleus is directly attached to the rough ER, which helps them work together to make and move materials.

the nucelus is the main part of the cell. it has the dna inside which is like a secret code for the cell. its not like a real nucelus like in a atom.

hormones are like littel mailmen. they are little things that go around in your blood and tell other parts of your body what to do. they tell you to grow and to be hungry and to be sad.

detox is wen your body cleans itself. the liver and kidneys are like the cleaners. they take away the bad stuff and pee it out.

Urine is the body's liquid waste, which is mostly water and contains waste products like urea and salts. It is created when the kidneys filter the blood.

Proteins are large, complex molecules essential for life. They are made of smaller units called amino acids. The body uses proteins for many things, including building and repairing tissues, and making important substances like hormones and enzymes.

Ribosomes are like little factories that build protens. They read a message, which is a copy of a gene called mRNA. They go along the mRNA, grabbing the right building blocks (called amino acids) and linking them together one by one. This creates a long chain that becomes the protein.

Where a protein ends up depends on where it's made. If a ribosome is just floating in the cell, the protein it makes usually stays there. But if the ribosome is attached to the Rough ER, the protein gos inside the ER to get foldded and then sent off to a different place, like out of the cell or to another part of the cell.

The Smooth ER has a few different jobs. It makes fats and oils that the cell needs, and it's also where your body makes certain hormons, like the ones that control reproduction .

The SER is also super important for cleaning up. It has special tools (enzymes) that break down harmful stuff, like alchohol or medicines, so your body can get rid of them.

Even though the Rough ER and Smooth ER do different things, they are actually part of the same connected network inside the cell. Think of them as two different rooms in one big building. They are both parts of the same organelle, so they have the same name.
