The endoplasmic reticulum is a network of tubes and sacs inside a cell.
It connects the nucleus to other parts of the cell, helping move things around.
There are two types:
Rough Endoplasmic reticulum: Covered with ribosomes; makes proteins.
smooth: No ribosomes; makes fats, hormones, and helps with detoxification.
The ER acts like a factory and a transport system for proteins and other molecules needed by the cell.

what are two types of endoplasmic reticulum ?
howis endoplasmic reticulum related with nucleus ?
What do you mean by the “network of tubes and sacs inside the cell”.
What is nucleus in biology? Is it the same as chemistry?
What do hormones do? And what are they?
What is detoxification? And what is it for?
How do ribosomes make proteins?
Where does the protein go?
How does the SER make fat, and hormones?
How does SER help in detoxification?
If RER and SER has so much difference in function, why are they both called endoplasmic reticulum?
