Types of rocks
There are three types of rocks and that is igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks
Igneous (ignis): Igneous rocks are formed when the molten matter inside the earth called magma comes out of a volcano and cools down then solidifies and there are 2 types of igneous intrusive igneous, and extrusive igneous.
sedimentary (sediment): sedimentary rocks are formed when minerals, small pieces of plants, and other organic matter that are compressed and deposited over a long time. these rocks can be found in oceans and lakes beds there are 2 types of sedimentary rocks sandstone and coal.
metamorphic: Metamorphic rocks are formed when the igneous and sedimentary exposed to high temperature and pressure they undergo change and this process of changing from 1 form to another is called metamorphic. a slate and marbles can be a example of metamorphic rocks.
