🌟 What is Excretion?
Excretion is the process of removing waste materials made inside the body.
These wastes are formed during activities like using food for energy.
If not removed, they can harm the body.
🌟 Why is Excretion Important?
It helps remove harmful and toxic substances.
It keeps the inside of the body clean and balanced.
It protects cells from getting damaged by waste.
It helps maintain health and proper body function.
🌟 Excretion in Humans
Kidneys remove urea, extra water, and salts by making urine.
Urine is stored in the bladder and leaves the body when we pee.
Lungs remove carbon dioxide and water vapor when we breathe out.
Skin removes water, salts, and a small amount of urea through sweat.
Liver breaks down harmful substances like drugs and old blood cells.
Some waste from the liver is sent out with bile.
🌟 Excretion in Plants
Plants do not have special excretory organs.
They remove oxygen during photosynthesis and carbon dioxide during respiration.
Extra water is removed through a process called transpiration.
Wastes are sometimes stored in leaves or bark and are removed when those parts fall off.
