Main Job:
Absorbs water and minerals from leftover food
Turns waste into solid poop .
Parts of the Large Intestine:
Cecum – first part, where the small intestine connects
Colon – the longest part
Ascending colon (goes up)
Transverse colon (goes across)
Descending colon (goes down)
Sigmoid colon (S-shaped end)
Rectum – stores poop
Anus – where poop comes out
