The Solar System has the Sun in the center — it gives light and heat to all the planets.
There are 8 planets that go around the Sun in big circles called orbits.
The planets are: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
Mercury is the smallest and closest planet to the Sun — it’s super hot!
Venus is covered in thick clouds and is even hotter than Mercury.
Earth is the only planet we know with life, water, and air.
Mars is red and dusty — robots have landed there to explore it!
Jupiter is the biggest planet and has a giant storm called the Great Red Spot.
Saturn has big beautiful rings made of ice and rock.
Uranus and Neptune are the farthest and coldest planets — they look blue and mysterious!
